Imagine the panic of a toilet blockage, but then finding the culprit is paper - $125,000 worth of paper!

This literally happened in Switzerland in a UBS branch in Geneva.

Swiss banks are known for the secrecy, so it is highly unusual to find 500 Euro notes jammed down the toilet of the Bank. Swiss prosecutors report that the notes were found blocking a toilet in a bathroom near the bank vault containing safe deposit boxes several months ago. A few days later, more notes were found blocking the toilets in three nearby restaurants.

Unfortunately for the plumbers, the 500 Euro notes had been shredded, and covered in… you know what. Prosecutors believe the money has come from an unidentified Spanish woman’s safe deposit box. The investigation is ongoing.
