Platinum Asset Management is launching a new ASX listed investment company, Platinum Asia Investments Limited (PAI), which will focus on providing long-term capital growth through investing primarily in undervalued listed securities of companies in the Asia region ex Japan.

Westpac Banking Corporation (Westpac) has announced the Offer of Westpac Capital Notes 3 (Notes). The Offer is scheduled to open on 6 August 2015 and includes a Securityholder Offer.

Westpac will undertake the partial sale of its shareholding in BT Investment Management Limited (BTIM) by way of an Institutional & Retail offer. The Institutional offer concluded on 17th June at $8.20 per share (a 6% discount to the previous day’s closing price) for 55million ordinary shares.

SCP has announced the successful completion of a fully underwritten institutional placement of $80m. The Placement was oversubscribed, and the placement was upsized $30m to $80m. Proceeds will be used to fund 3 shopping centres in Tasmania, and Mount Warren Park in Queensland.

Last week (26th May) BetaShares announced the launch of Australia’s first ETF to track the NASDAQ-100 Index – BetaShares NASDAQ 100 ETF (ASX: NDQ).
