Origin announced today $4.7b of new capital initiatives aimed at strengthening their balance sheet. As part of the initiatives, they announced a $2.5b pro rata renounceable accelerated entitlement offer (PRAITREO).

CBA Shareholders in Australia and New Zealand are entitled to participate in the $5 billion dollar pro rata renounceable entitlement offer. It allows eligible shareholders to buy new CBA ordinary shares at an offer price of $71.50 per new share. Shares acquired on or after the 12th August 2015 will be ineligible for the offer.

ANZ has announced a Placement and Share Purchase Plan (SPP) to eligible shareholders who were registered holders of ANZ shares on 5th August 2015. The SPP Offer will be at a price no greater than the Institutional Placement price of $30.95, and be the lesser of the Institutional Placement price, or the VWAP of ANZ shares over the 5 trading days up to and including 8th September less a 2% discount. Magellan has launched a hedged version of the Magellan Global Equities Fund. It is the second exchange quoted managed fund by the fund manager, and is a currency hedged version of the previously listed MGE.
